This’s why we cant get anywhere in this country always someone complaining against anything new
As the grandson of street traders and someone who worked in the markets with them, I understand street readers have a deep sense of nostalgia.
However, as a Dublin Man, Moore street is a Kip. Has been for decades and is more an ethnic quarter than a national historical site.
Personally I vote for knocking ad much as we can and build build build.
I passed through moore street recently and it really is a dump ,litter every where and gangs of different nationalities loitering around it doesn’t feel safe , really needs the redevelopment and I’d imagine anyone visiting the country and going through the street would say the same
Ah shurr it will destroy the refined cultural element of “cigarettes annnd tobaccccoooo”. And that one street trader cant be expected to like move to another nearby spot or anything. Gerry Adams? The f does this have to do with him?
So who want to form our own country. Just take the Sunny South East and form Eire Reloaded.
Take Carlow and sell it to China, use the money to buy the Irish military.
Why don’t we go forward with this development and create an open air market down the middle of O’Connell street. If done right it could be just like the markets in European cities, and it should drive the bad element from the area.
In fairness, where else is he gonna sell fags and bacco
