A secret Czech power plant powered by lightning strikes
It is definitly on my bucket list to hike up this mountain. I was on vacation a few kilometers to the northwest on the german side of the border about 10 times already but never got around to explore the czech parts of the mountain ranges there.
My parents have a cottage nearby.
I can’t really recommend the skiing slope, it’s way too steep and thin, but the view is spectacular. There are actually hotel rooms inside the tower too.
Another interesting thing is that it’s in a small pocket of subarctic climate.
When I was younger I was always wondering how people can live comfortably in Germany and further North, turns out that it’s just abnormally cold there.
