    What we are not (well, mostly not) is we are not a police state. We do not have an epidemic of people falling out of windows, for example.

    Trump is an ass, but no one is target practice.

    edit: as of the last few hours it sounds like the guy got positioned due to a security lapse, that was a major goof by security that had nothing to do with money and everything to do with overconfidence. It sounds like security neither secured nor monitored any of the nearby rooftops, which should be a standard 101 procedure for VIP security — they were focused on security inside the event area and not paying attention to buildings/trees/etc that were nearby (but outside the perimeter). If so, that’s a brain problem, not a money problem.
