  2. I’m pro Ukraine, but I would think a lot of countries would not take kindly to any citizen sending money to support an Army that the country is actively at war with.

    Fleeing Russia first would probably be a smart 1st step.

  11. To be fair… if I donated to the Iraqi army during operation desert storm the same would probably happen to me.

    People got jailed for posting anti vax stuff during covid on facebook in Australia, let’s not pretend that if we were at war you could send a penny to the enemy

  15. You have to be extremely careful if you oppose the Putin regime. If you live in Russia, or even travel to Russia periodically, you have to be more surreptitious about your opinions. They have shown that they are not above giving out lengthy sentences or straight up kidnapping people. Be careful. It is not a normal country.

    If an american donates just a cent to ISIS or some other terror organisation he’s gonna be on all kinds of lists including the no fly list and will most likely end up getting a knock or two on his door.

    Can’t imagine anything different happening in ukraine if an artist from there donates to the russian army lol

  21. I met a guy two days ago in Transnistria (breakaway Soviet puppet state in Moldova) who claimed he posted online “Free Ukraine” and was a thrown in jail 2 years as a political prisoner in transnistria.
