  1. One of the few times I have wanted to cry on a bike trip was cycling from Delft to Bruges in mid October. No matter which way the road turned, I was always in a headwind. Brutal and soul crushing.

  2. 8,5 km in 7 bft headwinds. The bikes are single speed and configured for an upright seating position. The fastest time was 20:23…

  3. My PTSD kicked in watching that. Hard!

My soul was crushed when I cycled through Netherlands. And like a proper idiot my route was from east to west, north to south. Had my fair share and extra of headwinds.

    Never again.

  4. I cycled LEJoG last year and we hit some really big headwinds. We were having peddle hard downhill or we wouldn’t move. No freewheeling that day.

  5. Does this event accept international participants? How do I enter for next year? Looks brutal but an interesting challenge!
