… is that now you can finally buy Koff Porter from stores. 7,2% – brewed since 1819, it is amazing.

  1. Nectar of gods

    Edit:

Although the porter is from 1950s it was created for Helsinki Olympics.

The yeast was borrowed during a visit to Guiness brewery, by Koff brewmaster.

  2. Indeed, that is a very good beer. Also most of the foreign equivalents cost a lot more here.

I’m waiting for some of the monastery beers to make it to the shelves ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|wink)

  3. Damn I’m jealous, your sissy brother Sweden still only allows 3,5s in grocery stores 😞

  4. I’d say this is the second best thing. The best thing is that you can buy sahti from stores!

  5. We have around 100 and 1 more crucial things to solve, than getting slightly stronger alcohol to the markets. It reeks of cheap populism, as if it would matter jack shit whether we can have 5,2% or 7,2% strength alcohol at the supermarket.

    But yeah, good beer nonetheless.

  6. Oh hello there, you might have just reinvigorated my love for porters, sincerely, an Englishman lost in Finland.

  7. My local village store has a new shelf for the up to 8% stuff, the beer section is continuously emptied 😂

  8. Drunks will be drunks regardless of the law, I wish they would drop the monopoly all together.

We can order alcohol from Germany to our door but not from Finland. That is absurd.
