Tories don’t have an answer to the cost of living crisis, because they are the crisis

  1. In the last week I have officially decided I’m labour at the next GE. Im sat in a fairly marginal constituency and as much as I abhor tactical voting in principal, I’m not going to be tempted by lib dems or greens this time round… these guys really need to be out of downing Street as soon as possible.

  2. Well they’re laughing all the way to the bank.

They opened the nation’s chequebook and wrote off billions of pounds in overpriced, dodgy contracts to their mates. These mates will undoubtedly return the favour after the current stock leave office, exactly as happened with Cameron.

Joke’s on us, and who do we have to blame? Cunts that voted Tory; cunts that undermined Labour in the last election by pretending that EU membership was more important than socialism.

It isn’t. It’s really not that fucking important compared with socialism. Just a load of put-ons by insecure people pretending to be posh, who are now mostly penniless.

  3. I watch your politics from a distance in Canada because my best friend is in London.

I think you guys are completely fucked to the extent that even Labour can’t fix the ship now.

Taxes are going to go up regardless of party and you’re all gonna get squeezed out.

    My sympathies.

  4. Same as social care, which they had a plan to “fix it once and fir all”.

Same as brexit and their “oven ready deal”.

Same as trump and his healthcare plan.

All nonsense and lies designed to “just hold out a little longer”.

  5. Annoyingly our local guy is actually reasonably ok but being Conservative he’s gonna be getting fucked next ge
Labour one is fuckin useless but greater good i guess

  6. Have you ever seen an Eton boy struggle to pay the rent?

They don’t even know the meaning of the word.

  7. Don’t forget how much money a year they take home from their mp jobs let alone anything they have on the side. Even if the living crisis gets worse it won’t mean shit to them

  8. They don’t have an answer because there isn’t a crisis from where they’re sitting.

As I’ve said before there are now 2 Britain’s.

The wealthy nation of cons voters and MP’s where there is no crisis and the impoverished nation that’s slipping under the surface.

It doesn’t affect the government or their voters en masse so nothing happens. In their Britain there’s no crisis and there’s more important things to be on with like lockdown parties, furlough fraud, covid contracts.

These are the people that bought you Thatcher; get on your bike and ride to better jobs, the poor are lazy, benefits scroungers, strivers and skivers.

They’ve doubled down on this mantra with ‘Britannia Unchained’

    Why would they care?

You only matter at voting time when they’ll roll out all sorts of goodies to get you to put the X in their box.

  9. The bit I’m surprised by is that “ream” is an actual unit of measurement and doesn’t just mean “a lot of paper”.

  10. They were the party of ideological austerity a decade ago. It would be very wishful thinking to assume that had changed under May and then Johnson. Capitalism and neoliberalism is not about making us all well-off, it is about helping a select few become rich and powerful at the expense of the rest of us. This is not a new observation and the fact that many missed this at the last election is their own fault for believing all the right wing media spin.
