  1. Roberts probably meant that the immunity case applies to one person, not everyone. For now. The court may put another Republican above the law in the future; we’ll cross that bridge when we get there. We legitimately stole these seats, so please stop being so pushy and let us do what we want!

  2. At this point we are being gaslit in varying degrees by the full spectrum of American politicians.

  3. Going through the decision, SCOTUS lays out a series of decisions where the precedent clearly indicates that the President holds a unique office, and that when the President acts on their exclusive powers in official acts the courts don’t have the authority to review the Presidents actions. However, SCOTUS goes to great lengths to also identify a series of decisions where it is clear that the president is not immune, and the powers of the executive are extremely limited, if they exist at all.
All of the cases cited where the president was found to have extensive powers were cases where the president was a repulican. Tump, Nixon, Reagan. The cases cited where the president’s powers were limited, the president was either Clinton or Truman.
I think the message was pretty clear.

  4. I wouldn’t even say gaslighting because that would imply they are saying one thing but doing something else. No. They are outright destroying lives and doing so proudly and openly because they have to pay back those conservative “donors” (more like bribers) who fund their yachts and send them rolexes for Christmas.

  5. The supreme court is acting as a Quarantia. They are legislating and acting as the judiciary.

  6. No they aren’t. They really don’t give a shit if we start to believe it or not.
