Royal Guard Stumbles at Order of the Garter in Windsor

A guard had to be helped by colleagues during the Order of the Garter service at Windsor Castle on Monday, after appearing to stumble and nearly fall whilst on duty outside St George’s Chapel. Report by Lance Chinnian.

  7. Do not understand the lack of compassion of ethics of dignity with integrity. Could not conceive what was the reason to make this public news. Prayer for healing and full recovery in private realm of respect and Honour. Thankful for those who were genuinely concerned.

  17. She didn’t stumble, she started to faint. They stand there for hours in heavy uniforms and especially on a warm day with no fluids it’s no wonder they faint. Many of the guards place ice packs especially under the bear skins in summer. It’s one of the reasons why they change their gun position from right to left and back again and change their feet position especially stamping their feet ( I can’t think what the proper word is) it helps get the blood circulating and helps prevent fainting. The trouble is when they’re stood for hours and haven’t eaten or taken on fluids for hours you’re asking for trouble. I’m surprised the Services haven’t changed their policy and at least let honour guards hydrate a bit more often especially when it’s extremely hot weather …..tho that seems somewhat lacking this year!!

  22. keep hydrated. drink more freshwater. check the tummy for still fluids. eat some cheese salads with no roots. more cheese

  25. i vomited twice. the first iteration a lemon tasting fluid came out, i had not eaten a lemon in days, then after, drinking more freshwater the freshwater tasted sweet, i dont notice that taste often. then later at home i vomited again, though it was tiny amount of fluid, no strange taste. now i am 100% of 100 health. i ate cheese pizza as well some plants.
    Stop the production of that police drug.

  27. Poor thing! I hope she’s ok! As a person who was in the military and used to standing in formation, even locking your legs is enough to take you out. And if it was hot, double trouble! Either way, best wishes!

  34. Crazy making to make them suffer in heat n sun, dressed as such. Traditions need to be addressed. No flies .. but the closest guards tassles? are irritating his neck 😮. Come on royalty time for ridiculousness to be done with.

  38. Poor guy. Can't smthn be done e.g. do these exercises or parades in mornings or evening. These fellows are really suffering. God safe the guards, God safe the king

  42. Something that should make us ashamed as British citizens! They are men and women, they are not machines, they make sacrifices in the name of someone who doesn't care! Unfortunate!
