Can i have one?
Drones will force the development of directed energy weapons forward. Missile are too expensive and gun based systems seem to struggle with drone swarms.

Ok, so team we need to design some mirrors for our drones…..
Ok, hear me out: Sharks with laser beams attached to their heads.
Coming soon: new versions to take out troops. And they’ll get used on civilians before long.
If mass producing now were they the ones testing them in hawaii? 👀
[I guess they are paying by the laser](https://youtu.be/dLJTgvKFZoQ?si=BuAXaGLxmUNIts-k)
homelander spends $1.50 each time he lasers someone. or maybe $3.00 for both eyes
Anyone have flashbacks to CnC Generals: Zero Hour playing Laser General?
$1.50 a hit is cheaper than cocaine
$1.50 Ukraine, $100 million for russia seems fair.
Hell yeah South Korea. Let’s get these fuckers made .
And have them fitted to sharks
Put a laser prism on the drone. That will probably wreck the laser.
One thing that stood out to me in reading this was that laser was effective at short distances, which is obviously quite limiting.
Might be good for putting this sort of system near a high profile target directly, like a Dam or key infrastructure or your multi million dollar systems, but depending on how short the effective range is, it could be a real pain in the ass to try to protect all the things when you get so little coverage per system.
They didn’t actually say the range though so, who knows.
I cannot understand when technology that’s involved in military applications is disclosed. Why not keep it a secret, unless it’s part of a psyops plan.
A $0.02 pie plate can stop a military grade Laser. And a simple copper coating will stop EMPs. There’s a good reason the military doesn’t invest heavily into these things in real world applications.
What if they just put mirrors on the drones.
Now N.Korean border guards are going to have to deal with poop falling on them at work and at home!
