Five Great Powers of Europe, 1792

  1. Spain’s absence is staggering, based on the amount of gold they plundered from the americas, after killing and torturing millions of indigenous people.

  2. How was Prussia a great power exactly? Their population and economy aren’t comparable to the rest.
Really it was France, Britain and a rising Russia coming in hot. Austria was too unorganized and not interested in expansive growth because of its internal contradictions, and Prussia was too small and lacking depth.

  3. Lol. What’s the blank space in the SE of Europe? Uninhabited lands with the notation “Here There Be Monsters?” Or was that the Ottoman Empire, which was literally larger than all the other powers combined except Russia.

  4. Austria and Prussia have created the worst historical border gore I’ve seen, they look like a disease spreading in central Europe.

However the German Empire and Austria-Hungary (1914 borders) on the other are some of the sexiest historical borders I’ve seen, the curves on those borders, hot damn!
