  1. Why is it protesters seem to becoming more and more unhinged…?

This doesn’t do to advance their goals at all.

  2. Can we not bring this whole abortion thing up for discussion again?

  3. >Creasy has now told the Times that police officers told her that the man had a right to engage with her as she was a public figure.

    >She also claims she was told that her daughter getting upset was due to Creasy’s behaviour in asking the man to leave them alone, rather than his comments to her.

I don’t know the law on this, others might be able to clear it up.

But from a moral point of view she has a right to walk down the street with her daughter without being harassed. Everyone should have that right, and the law should back them up.

    >had a right to engage with her

If only there was a way for people to engage with MPs. Maybe they should have email addresses people can write to. Or some sort of office you can visit to talk to them. Oh well, until then we’ll just need to shout at them in the street.

As it always is with anti abortion campaigners this is just someone who wants to abuse and control women while claiming the normal high ground.

Edit: replaced man with someone in last sentence.

  4. It’s disheartening when disagreements lead to name-calling, especially in front of children.

  5. Anti abortion crowd are unhinged.. what else is new?

  6. I agree that abortions are the choice of the mum but abortions are literally killing children and the police can’t stop people from voicing their opinions, despite the Scottish government’s best efforts.

    Why is this an issue?

    Typical victim mindset.

  7. She should have just turned it straight back on them and called them femicidal.

Cause thats what it comes down to – as we’re seeing in the US.

  8. That backwards shit is going to overtake the US in a matter of a few months. We can’t tolerate it, nor the kind of scum that spouts it, here.

  9. These anti-abortion extremists can get fucked.

The fact that the American right is funding and encouraging this sort of shit over here should tell us everything we need to know. We need to reject their attempts to create a culture war rather than pretending that they’re reasonable people with a different belief.

If you think that your God wants you to harass and threaten women who need a medical procedure or who support allowing women to get a medical procedure, you need to rethink your religious beliefs. If there really was a God who wanted you to do that, that God would hardly be worthy of worship.

  10. Reminder the anti-abortion movement in the UK is currently being astroturfed and funded by evangelical Christians from the US and their organisations

  11. Just as we should do a better job of actively policing Ruzzian/Chinese influence attempts in this country, so should there be a much greater effort to alert the public to the (for all intents and purposes) just as malign influence attempts by the American Fascist Right. I will not dignify them as Christians because they just fucking aren’t even remotely close to any of the teachings of Jesus and can only quote two bible verses on a good day.

We have enough serious issues with our own social cohesion to deal with before importing any faux-moral garbage from mediaeval woman haters whose “pro-life” concern for humanity stops as soon as a kid is actually born and needs any form of state or social welfare.

  12. One day God will judge you, said the protester

But he was clearly impatient and thought he’d get some judgment in beforehand

  13. The problem is MP’s are corrupt and nothing happens to them when they break the law and this makes people understandably furious

When families couldnt visit dying relatives in hospital and the prime minister was having a fucking shin dig with a crowd

The people are at a breaking point and this translates into anger towards other MP’s making stupid decisions

The country is broken, wages havent risen with inflation, the NHS is on its knees, Nurses are having to eat from food banks ( You know the ones that take care of the sick and dying), the younger generation will never own homes, kids are going hungry to stay fed and cold to stay warm, the older generation are dying cold homes, Politicians put water companies in the hands of rich siphoning off vast profits to pass to their shareholders while polluting our water ways then passing on the bail out to the tax payer, the rich are by passing taxes, social services are completely broken, schools are crumbling, kids are going hungry, people cant afford to buy food or pay bills, MP’s siphoned off billions to their mates PPE companies and no one was fined or jailed ….. Meanwhile MP’s have 4 house and £9,000,000 in the bank

Then you wonder why people are pissed off

Politicians are scum … they no longer deserve our respect

You either do your fucking job for the benefit of the masses and when you dont – while pushing bullshit policies and siphon off public money dont cry when the people get pissed at you

  14. Every time I read about something like this I note that the person on the other side of it is not named removing any and all chance to turn the criticism back on them, to shine a light on them for a change.

  15. At this point American interference is just as bad as Russian interference.

No non-citizen should be trying to have any influence over the culture, social structure, laws etc of the UK. Least of all a religious group.

  16. Don’t even know why we’re bringing it up in Britain really. Yeah it’s not the most easy thing in the universe to get an abortion but it’s not America, we aren’t full of unhinged psychos, surely if we stop giving the small anti abortion crowd here attention they’ll shut up?

  17. I mean, if an MP/ Party allows UK WMD to be sold to i$rael- those MPs are *definitely* complicit in those deaths- as are the manufacturers of the WMD.
