  3. This story has been pretty ridiculous to follow. And her answer to most every question about her life is I don’t remember. She is a mayor of a small city that happened to have a multi billion dollar scan center partially located in her government building, has multiple high level sports cars, a helicopter and millions in cash. And almost no people remember her despite her apparently growing up there.

  4. For non Filipino folks here:

    – Alice Guo turned a rural town into a Chinese gambling hub
    – She won mayoral elections despite having zero social media prior to 2022, unable to speak the local language (Ilokano), and nobody in the town knowing her
    – When summoned by the Senate, she provided minimal answers. The initial hearing lasted for hours but all she could answer was “I grew up in a farm and home schooled.”
    – She owned hectares of land (where the gambling hub was built), luxury cars, and a helicopter. When asked how she made money, she said, “we own a pig farm.”
    – Later, she released a statement she evaded, answering the truth since she was a lovechild between a Chinese businessman and a Filipino maid
    – She couldn’t provide any birth records or any evidence she was born in the Philippines, despite claiming it was the case
    – More investigation showed she has Chinese siblings and her mother is also Chinese.
