Sinn Féin councillor Daithí Dolan said that he was aware of one individual who has been acting as an “ambassador” for the protest who is a “convicted drug dealer” and who previously “boasted of flooding Ireland with drugs”.
He added that the same individual has a “political pedigree” through past involvement with the extremist British National Party.

It’s bizarre that despite no really right-wing party in Ireland that there’s been such large demonstrations that really have manifested in violent ways.
I really can’t remember this happening often in Britain, despite much higher levels of immigration.
They’ve been at it all morning. The excavator came to take down the encampment they made over the past 6 months, but they set it on fire.
They’ve closed off the road and the “protestors” are squaring up with garda and trying to start fights, throwing fencing and stuff.
It’s just surprising the amount of kids there with their parents.
They are using violence for political purposes, this is the definition of terrorism. Time round round up a few of the ” Ireland is full ” crowd and charge them with domestic terrorism
They’ve been camped out there dealing drugs for months it’s ridiculous they were allowed to be there and so obvious this would happen.
Surely “fires lit” would take it from “public order offenses” to “arson” and “criminal intimidation”.
We already have a clear pattern of arson being used terroristically in this context.

Now, it’s mooted to house and feed a majority of economic migrants. Accepted some, a minority, will be asylum seekers. All accommodated at considerable expense, without forethought for integration or even a well functioning, coherent asylum system.
Meanwhile, I’ll guess in a 5 mile vicinity, there’s probably hundreds if not thousands of kids in their twenties who rightly recognise poor opportunity and accommodation prospects, and have already left or are planning to leave.
Basically now if ya get a few lads together it’s fine to just burn down buildings and machinery cos there’s no guards doing anything about it.

There are videos online of someone seriously injured from the arson attack, being taken away on a gurney, while the usual “concerned citizens” are surrounding them cheering, jeering and hollering at them.

These people are just thugs/racists nothing more. Something tells me you won’t get a nuanced take on immigration from them, I drive by regularly and they’re out drinking cans and lighting fires on the side of the road intimidating people walking by.
