I met a 99 year old WWII US Army Ranger who was captured in Italy, escaped from the Prison camp, and.fought with the anti-fascist partisans in Italy until the war ended. These were very brave people, who do not get the recognition that they deserved, àt least as I see it in the USA. Lots of what would be strange bedfellows in a few years.
