The German military has a similar program. It has the codename project “Cassandra” after the trojan princess who could see the future but was cursed to not being taken serious.
Great approach. It reminds me of Gen Mc Christal (spelling not warranted) telling how when the US military created a red team exercise, and he was red, he got told to stick to the frame. Coz they fucked up the blue team at round one.
It takes a creative spirit to play red team, a natural way to not care about the boxes, instead of conventional thinking told to think outside of the box. So getting science fiction writer is spot on
Prophetic *The Camp of the Saints* from 1973 would be a good start.
