  1. Patriots are a very cost inefficient way of shooting down drones/glide bombs. You feel like there must be cheaper alternatives.

  5. Ukraine isn’t in nato. Why is America wasting hard earned dollars on this?

    Edit, keep justifying your country throwing away billions of your hard earned money. Think of what your country could do with all that money going into millionaires pockets and going straight to a country that shouldn’t even be getting help! Waste of cash imo

  10. Here’s to hoping we can collectively help them. I know these are big ticket items but I think they’re tip of the iceberg.

    All weapons and defensive systems are surely needed. As I’m an individual I can’t unfortunately contribute to that, but I just made sure to donate to humanitarian aid, also very much needed.

    I also donated to local drives, and looking forward to more recent drives, since they’re looking to treat Ukrainian bombing victims here in Finland. Yes, this includes the children’s hospital casualties.

    It’s heartbreaking, this war shit. We can’t forget this going on, since it’s part of Russia’s tactic, to make us tired and bored of their atrocities. Same thing for Palestine.

    Sorry for the ramble, but this still cuts deep for me.

  16. Does any collection of Nations even have 25 Patriot air defense systems they could give to Ukraine? That’s a lot of Patriot systems and I don’t know if that is doable number.

    Edit: Okay, just googled it, and apparently there are a lot more Patriot defense systems than I thought. So yeah, its a doable number.

    F 16s are way overdue tho.

  19. Each Patriot missile system holds 16 missles. At $3 million a pop × 16 × 25 = $1,200,000,000.00, just for one round of ordances.

  20. It would still ultimately be just a band-aid still. What Ukraine needs is its own ballistic missiles without any restrictions on using them – to destroy airfields with strategic bombers, and facilities that store and produce russia’s own weapons. But unfortunately collective balls of western nations are way too small for it

  22. Part of it is being able to risk some to bring up to the Frontline and shoot down planes both launching glide bombs as well as transport aircraft

  23. The article mentions the US and NATO allies giving four, and I think I read Israel is giving them six. Hopefully they get what they need asap
