1. World: Can’t you already fucking die? Quietly, preferably. We have business things to do, you know.

2. As shitty as this is to say, I still feel this war is a golden goose for Biden and the dems. An opportunity to brag about American (military) superiority and highlight the perils and shortfalls of choosing autocracy over democracy while having a nifty slogan like, “beating authoritianism on the battlefields and at the ballot box”

   But instead of that the plan seems to be escalation management. Even if everything works out exactly as “planned” we end up making the west and democracy seem cynical, afriad, and shortsighted. 

   Maybe I’m the moron, but this “plan” of escalation management seems dumb as fuck. 

3. Especially in Germany, but obv also in America this is, sadly, the strategy. Olaf Scholz never stated that Ukraine should win the war. He just says that Russia must not win. Well you could understand that those statments are the same, but they are not. The strategy of the west is to slowely starve the russian economy and population structure on the cost of Ukraine until the point that russia can no longer attack any other nation. They always give just enough, so that Ukraine can hold the frontline and maybe gain short periods of momentum. For me this strategy is absolutely babaric, but it seems to work. At the beginning of the war I hoped that the statements are meant the same. Sadly not anymore.

   The west does not want that russia as an empire collapses UNcontrolled.
