I was in Prague 6 years ago for my student exchange and absolutely enjoyed this dish. It's a potato pancake with cheese and meat toppings. I know the potato pancake is Bramboraky, but how do I identify a similar dish like that on a menu or how do I order it?

The pub that used to serve this is no longer around 🙁

  1. Look for cmundy po kallicku. It is bramborak with smoked pork and sauerkraut. No idea about this specific dish it looks like the restaurant invented it.

  2. You could look for bramborák se syrečky or bramborák s tvarůžky, i have seen it outside of Prague several times so chances you will find it in Prague should not be that small.

  3. It looks like bramborak se syrečky a slaninou aka heart attack before 50

  4. Bramborak tvarůžky slanina, Pico. Thats how to order this.

  5. Biggest chance to find this will be in Olomouc where the cheese on top comes from.
