Look at what you’ve done, pedro. You’ve got blood on your hands.

  1. Typical Southgate terrorists, always blaming their victims.

  2. Tbh, I don’t really get the point of constantly parroting this statistic whenever there’s a match on. Obviously, the type of person who beats there spouse is going to do it more in times of heightened emotion, and people can get pretty passionate about sport. But what’s the benifit of constantly bringing that up?

Is it supposed to be a condemnation of football culture? Should we stop being passionate about football until everyone stops beating their wives? Is it supposed to get people to look out for signs of domestic abuse, but only if there was a match last night?

I’m not talking about this tweet in particular, I’m just ranting because I feel like I mostly see it posted by redditors trying to show how dumb football fans (the popular kids in school) are.

  3. If Barry can’t win the football, at least there’s still boxing.

/uj I wonder what would happen if any other country also bothered to do a study on the relative impact (NPI) of football losses on domestic violence…

  4. “Look what happened because of what you did, what it led to! There are riots out there! Two Susans are in critical condition and you’re laughing. You’re laughing. Margaret was killed today because of what you did.”

  5. So the UK government issues warnings to its citizens not to jump out of balconies in Spain, and asks its women to report domestic abuse after England’s loss in a football tournament

They must be part of this sub

  6. Being afraid like that in your own house must be hell on earth.

  7. Props to Susan for making sure there’s at least something to beat, even if it’s not the enemy team.

  8. Well, she’s coming home too! Just being mindful of the Barrys that are also victims of domestic abuse!
