1. And The Indian Army over the years has purchased shitloads of that junk.

4. I wonder what happened to all the Abrams tanks in the war? Last I heard they were being kept at the back out of fear of Drones.

   Drones are a great leveler.

   But even amazing equipment gets destroyed in wars, thats normal. Especially if you use it like a complete moron. Right after you send a disposable human wave attack that just gets cut down by concentrated artillery and machine gun fire, and not even blink.

12. They very well could be the world’s best tanks, but with poor strategy/leadership/training/discipline their specs don’t really mean anything.

    You can’t expect a middle schooler to just pick up the “worlds best sniper rifle” and start picking off targets at 800m

15. I saw a Bradly take one out with its main gun that’s a machine made in the 80s taking out a brand new top of the range tank.

16. Unless you make a giant leap forward and like skip a generation of tech. Even the “best” tank in the world is still going to only be marginally better than its counterparts and it’s going to be far from impervious.

    If Russia wasn’t so insane about its rhetoric around its Military equipment this would be a small story. But no they claim everything is the best ever and a world beater and 1 is worth 10 of its western counterparts. It’s just silly, the US and the west also hype up their equipment but it’s usually just so much more grounded in reality. They’ll tell you all the reasons an Abrahams is a great tank and name the things it is supposedly best at but never to the extremes that Russia does. It’s just comical the narratives they push. Maybe the T90 really does outclass its western counterparts in lots of ways. But even then it still would not even close to the hype their propaganda machine gives it.

18. In drones vs tanks, the tank version doesn’t matter much. Most are really vulnerable in the rear where the engine is. 500mm steel in the front is worth shit if you fetch a grenade in the engine.

    Times change and tanks are not what they used to be.

    That and the top down attack launchers are making mince meat of how tank armor is distributed.
