Footage from August 2nd, 1990 that shows Kuwaiti infantry, national guard and amiri guard (king’s guards) fighting Iraqi marines, airborne and armored units. In this battle Iraqi forces lost a special forces company in multiple helicopter shoot downs.

  2. In battles worldwide we can only watch them eliminating and hurting each other but we cant know who the good guys are?

  3. It’s so weird having been to Kuwait City in 2016 and how much more developed it is compared to the early 90’s. Almost surreal

  4. I remember seeing a still image of the armored cars fighting in a book on tanks (with pictures etc) from when I was a kid. Amazing to finally see the footage it came from.

  5. If only these Iraqi troops knew what they were in store for when it was time to leave.

  6. To this day I am still amazed at the resistance the Kuwaitis put up.

    I mean, talk about an overmatch
