  1. > “F— ’em,” Lorre replied swiftly during the summer 2024 TCA Press Tour when asked about the current state of the entertainment industry and television executives seemingly uninterested in the sitcom as a genre.

    > “You’re asking me if I have a macro view of these things, I don’t,” Lorre continued. “I try and pursue things that I’m excited about that I think are wonderful, that working with people that I love and admire and telling stories that I think are great stories to tell, and the potential of making people laugh is a wonderful thing to do. When you come home at night, did you make people laugh? That’s not a bad day.”

  2. I want more sitcoms! Something smart, funny, and not too deep. I hate modern tv

  3. Not your trash, filmed in front of a fake audience sitcom, Chuck.

  4. Comedy in general is in bad shape, seems most media today is basically sitting in on the writer’s therapy session while they winge about their childhood trauma

  5. The laugh track is not needed. If your jokes need a laugh track, write better jokes.
Young Sheldon was terrific. Because there were no laugh tracks.

  6. We should agree to give Lorre another sitcom if he can scrub Two and a Half Men from syndication, at least from like two or three of the however many channels it gets consistent all day marathons on.

  7. Guy who only makes crap upset that no one wants to produce his crap.

  8. We moved past your shitty sitcoms and their annoying laugh tracks

  9. I know people who like The Neighborhood. And I heard they’re doing a spin off sitcom of that with Tracey Morgan. So mb sitcoms aren’t all dead.

  10. I love sitcoms but his in particular aren’t my kind of shows. To each their own though!

  11. I’m not a fan of his shows. But it would be nice to have something other than prestige dramas and reality shows.

  12. Comedy running out of funny ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|poop)

  13. A brightly lit small room full of fast talking white people with canned laughter is all you have to offer

    Don’t know about anyone else

These shows make my stomach hurt and can’t last being in a room with it on

  14. I’m over Chuck Lorre. His crass shows are a scourge. I’d rather have a funny family comedy with more jokes than put downs.

  15. The best sitcoms feel like theatre and have that vibe of incredible acting, writing and high energy coming off the screen. I miss that and would love new sitcoms that appeal to todays sensibilities but also you can get away with more nowadays and censors arent as atrict so you could do a lot with sitcoms.

i think itll take one big hit for studios to consider them again. arent they quite cheap to make? on smartless they always talk about how much they miss performing on them and wish they could again, so the desire is there from actors

  16. Am I so out of touch? No! It’s the children who are wrong.

  17. It’s not that, Chuck. The TV industry doesn’t want *your* garbage sitcoms
