I remember this and the reality was much worse. What is on these pics is the best what socialist Czechoslovakia had to offer in the 80s like downtown of Prague. He should take pics from industrial suburbs that looked like the WW2 just ended or rust belt cities like Liberec or decaying one like was Olomouc.
Buildings are more or less same, but different where people especially clothing and overall photographs quality, more interesting stuff is around 1945-1968 in my humble opinion.
