How it should have been. Although I still have my doubts. And while we are at it. There should have been 300 of them not 30. But I will be the first one to say that with li item funds it's better to provide 155mm than mbts.

  1. That’s great, I hope they concentrate a lot of reactive armor on the back of the turret

Is Ukraine managing to produce Nizh reactive armor? I think it would be good to test it on the Abrams, it would probably offer more protection

  2. I know that Nizh exists. There is no reason a country that can return hundreds of damaged mbts to action can’t make reactive armor blocks. No reason that I can think of. However everything is in short supply and bottlenecked.

  3. Oh the caption says that this one is on Pokrovsk direction. Since they are all together, that means they are all there. Or at least it may mean that. Far as I know they are all in the 47th.

  4. Funny how everyone was making fun of cope cages and here we are every nation in active combat is doing the exact some thing the Russians did at the start of the war what times to be alive would have never imagined to see a abrams or merkava with a cope cage lmao

  5. God, as American, this thing is *cursed looking*.

It looks like the old T-80 stand-ins we used back in the day for training purposes.

  6. Ya think putting barb wires on top of tank with poles stinking out would work feel like drone would get stuck ?

  7. US MIC furiously taking notes this entire conflict.

  8. Damn that actually looks really nice like that, at least to me.

  9. Well! The USA gave crap armored Abrams to Ukraine to begin with! What do you expect?

  10. Abrams doesn’t need more glacius or mantle front armor. Even the export version will stop HEAT projectiles hard, from the front.

    Top, sides, and back, definitely.

  11. Not only reactive armor boxes, but an anti-drone cage, too, though you always mock on that with Russian tanks!

  12. How soon until we see rotating flails from either a center mast atop the turret to something like a targeted package.

And the flail doesn’t need to be heavy, probably some strong fishing line, a few meters in length, with shot attached to the end of them. Just need a quick motor to spin it up when an incoming drone is detected.

    Centrifugal force FTW!

  13. These tanks are very weird one off m1a1 sa ukr.
Speaking of era, would the front withstand a tm62 drop from above?

  14. remember when americans were cocky seing the first Leo losses? Wtf is this then when your tank is so much better?

  15. They’re up-armoring them because the US refuses to let the secret layered composite armor from the US livery fall into Russian hands, and as such is shipping Abrams to Ukraine with basic steel armor.

  16. I read today that there were only 30 Abrams sent to Ukraine. The American government should be ashamed..

As an American citizen I am ashamed of them.

  17. Looks more like a Leopard now, seems they prefer thickness over mobility. As this stalemate has become.

  18. Really? As a hardworking American who works with many other hardworking Americans, we cant even afford our own basic needs, food, shelter, clean water etc, while we continue to send billions of dollars to help the Ukraines. we want to help, but to say it’s not enough is a kick to the throat to us.

  19. Showing all the more clearly, that they think it’s not enough. And humans will never think there is enough, yet we don’t have the ability to propel or carry more weight. It’s past time to get the crews out and reduce the weight by 50% or more. The barrel is already not armored and the critical systems can be armored to this or that level, but will short of 80 tons.
