Charles just wanted an excuse to get Camilla alone so she could play with those sausage fingers
Blown out of proportion. Someone was overheard saying they wanted to cook some Jersey Royals, and their security team misunderstood.
If that is how they respond with that woman in a security scare situation then god help them for the real thing. Didn’t somebody try to take down Prince Charles but he just stood there oblivious to his surroundings, fidgeting with his cuff. He really is dosy.
Everyone is going to be on tenterhooks at the moment given what happened to Trump.
There’s zero connection, and in reality probably no more risk (if anything, less, as a potential assassin or attacker with any warewithall will probably think “hmm, security is probably particularly tight now”) but we aren’t all that rational as a species when it comes to stuff like this.
A quick look down this page (always very interesting, to me anyway!) – [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cognitive_biases](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cognitive_biases)
It’s a mix of [Illusory correlation](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illusory_correlation), [Attentional bias](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attentional_bias), [Selective perception](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Selective_perception), [Base rate fallacy](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Base_rate_fallacy), [Conjunction fallacy](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conjunction_fallacy), [Neglect of probability](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neglect_of_probability), [Belief bias](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belief_bias), [Action bias](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Action_bias), [Pessimism bias](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pessimism_bias), and probably more, I’ve given up.
In short “Trump was shot recently, so better be more careful around senior figures and up security”
Good thing it was a false alarm. Can you imagine the conspiracy theorists when another one gets shot in the ear?
Why the regnal numbers, though? Is there a chance we’d confuse with Charles II or something?
