Wow relative to its population Czechia is really high on the list.
I thought more people go to Spain
The big problem of the west statistic that the russians are not all russians. And I dont know how to describe it with English language. Because no difference in English between rossians and russians.
It’s not so strange the numbers are different. Probly people that leave Russia just go and don’t bother to tell where they went.
I did the same when I lived a broad – i didn’t know my adress abroad before I left so I couldn’t report it, and then I just forgot about it. I was listed as “location unknown” lol
Germany having many russians moving there does not surprise me. It would be interesting to see if those russians were volga germans.
5 years old data… It won’t give us much pointers considering the current state of things.
I mean while this shows actually few Russians are leaving Russia, whi knows if red tape or “patriotism”, but it also blatantly shows what Russia (as in government( considers embarrassing due to politics. Poland. Number 6 per Eurostat and 14 per Russian official data, with well, Eurostat baing based on passports and fitting economic terms, but I guess as Poland hates Russia (as in the Polish government and some of the Poles hate the Russian government, but Poles don’t actually hate Russians as people, so politics) Rosstat has to fabricate the statistics on Poland the most…
The discrepancy between Rosstar and Eurostat data is due to the persons who don’t deregister in Russia after leaving, meaning that they de jure still reside in Russia. I wonder if that explain the proportional difference between Rosstat and Eurostat for Germany and UK. Since, as far as I know, Germans aren’t allowed double citizenship (until recently, apparently), while for UK, it is possible. Either that or, perhaps, UK being a more popular destination specifically for pursuing higher education.
This isn’t much, really. I’d love to see how many left UK after Brexit.
Is there any data on the share of the people from Russia migrating to Germany are Ethnic Germans over this period?
Why stay in shit hole Russia when you can emigrate to glorious Europe?
In 2021 13k Russians received residence permit in Poland
As A Bulgarian I can tell you that there are indeed a lot of Russians living in the country ( if this list were per capita we’d be third behind Latvia and Czechia I think)and more coming because Bulgaria and Russia are so similar linguistically and culturally , plus Bulgaria is about as expensive to live in as Russia,If not cheaper , from what I have heard , so people find It easy to start a new life here.
Wonder what it would look like with Israel on. Someone I know basically her whole family left for Israel and just her branch went to the US.
Those are rookie numbers Russia…

Croatia had 25000 to Germany last (Covid) year…
To be honest, I left Russia in 2018 and never deregistered from anything, so maybe Rostat doesn’t know that I left

Mexico is a popular transit hub today to reach USA.
