New Russian recruits can now expect 1,700,000 rubles ($19,000) in the Moscow region as a one-off payment for joining the invader army. The number more than doubled recently. According to available information, initially, Russians willing to go to war in Ukraine were paid 195,000 rubles ($2200).

Reeks of desperation
Omg its like with stocks, you will miss the peak. Better wait lads, it might rise to 17 billions!
That’s cause they know most will be MIA, and ultimately they do not owe their invaders anything.
Seems their running out of people who want to join the army. The reaction will be interesting if there’s more wavys of mobilisation in Moscow and st pet that’s when it could go tits up for putin
They’re also marking the dead as mia so they don’t have to pay.
19k to be violently killed just to stall a botched military invasion from collapsing?
You’d be mad to apply.
I doubt Moscow is paying this up front. It will be agreed in part payments, probably something stupid like 10% up front and then monthly payments over a 6 months term. Meanwhike they go MIA after a week and the money mostly stays in Moscow.
Hey Russia, let’s speed run the end times for this war. Just print a shit load of money, push yourself into hyperinflation so that 1.7 million rubles is worthless, then have the bunker boy shoot himself.
They don’t even end up paying many of the guys that go. Russia is a shithole.
Afaik those one-off lump sum payments are upon completion of the service, not upon signing up. And they don’t release anyone from their service while the war is still ongoing, there’s laws that allow the military to indefinitely and unilaterally extend contracts in extenuating circumstances like these. Even though the indefinite nature of the contract is never mentioned in the contract itself, of course.
So with that said I’m surprised they kept the numbers so low, given that they don’t plan on playing them anyway. Is it to make them believable?
Those z will get play fpv in the ass free of charge and one time only if you live and want a second then will cost your life .
Requirements: all are free
Putlers stupid war is getting damn expensive…
Let me guess: “You will see the money when you’re back.”?
russia will never pay this upfront. They’ll sign a contract and delay it until you’re dead. Will keep postponing it untill they’re trapped.
They apply the same strategy with everybody else so they don’t have to pay.
Of family sues, you’d be ignored anyway.
Sucka to be russian
So basically now they’re no longer army soldiers, but mercenaries…
Hmmm, so, they value their lives at 19k$. Not *that* much money in grand scheme of things. I wonder if it would be possible to… outbid the Katsapstan government here, if you know what I mean…
It doesn’t mean anything since they won’t live long enough to get their paycheck. They could put $1M on that poster
The guys who got paid $2,200 can’t bitch about the new guys getting paid more cuz the $2,200 crew is all entirely dead
Paid in advance or upon return? They seem to re-deploy even the WIA so a great deal for the state, never having to pay up, and a very bad deal for desperate russians taking the bait.
I’d want that up front before I go to the front.
They’ll be on the front line before seeing any money
they can offer trillions if they wanted to, a dead Russian wont need the money.
Question is: did they (or their family in case of Pepsi) actually got the money? Or just 1 kg of chicken filet and a home made cake?
Oh I bet that will be great for morale when they find out they’re paid a fraction of the new fodder.
Only paid after 6 weeks of service on the front line, same as the life expectancy.
