Sounded a bit more like demolition/building work to me
It does sound a bit like clay pigeon shooting (two clays, two quick shots) but it is hard to tell. Try googling for clay pigeon shoots near you? But then they are maybe a bit too close together (the next pair)
Bird Scarers maybe? Although it’s a bit late for planting. That said one of the farmers near us has his going year round.
It’s definitely live fire of some sort.
Putting “pheasant shoot dover” in Google Maps brings up quite a few places.
Must be a townie 😂
Yes that sounds like a clay pigeon shoot. Several lanes/traps. To everyone saying it’s pheasant shooting, it’s out of season. Could potentially be pigeons but it’s quite a lot of shots.

Pile driver?
Might be a [bird scarer](https://youtu.be/oYA-NHPpwL8?si=jdlSgIS7GAzBOAWp) especially if you live near a crop farm (end of clip for sound)
Gun fire is more like a crack than a boom
