Not being German, I never get to say this enough about Germany.
Congratulations for being one of the few countries with a working democracy that understands that free speech has to have limits as a safeguard to preventing nationalism and halting the institutionalization of rabid hatred.
This is a lesson other nations could well learn from you. I hope Germany can long remain a valuable lesson to the world about how the nationalism of any nation can cause grievous harm to other nations when power is placed in the wrong hands, and how that same country can turn itself around, reject the hatred and make itself an outstanding example of freedom for others to emulate.
People still read magazines?

Fucking finally. This magazine has been working for far too long. But sadly it has had its time to build an audience and spread harmful messages. I don’t think banning it will undo any of the harm it has caused
Good to be a tolerant nation you have to be intolerant to intolerance.
Simple as that.
lotta banning going on lately
Unfortunately, the reason why far-right extremist parties get votes in a first place (badly regulated imigration, East Germans being disillusioned of reunification and problems with it) – still remains.
And unless the government does something about it, not even banning AfD will help for more than 2-3 years before other similar parties come back.
Good news.
🤐
This is censorship of differing political views. Not good.
Fucking finally. Over the last decade, a bunch of far-left medias got banned in Germany (like linksunten.indymedia) but this far-right media platform which was prominent of spewing antisemitic conspiracy theories and fascist propaganda wasn’t.
I condone neither and whatever I’ve read from linksunten and similar platforms was equally brainrotten and dumb. But it is always weird to just clean one side while the other one is continuing to dump their shit into public.
“Our message is very clear: we will not allow ethnicity to define who belongs to Germany and who does not.”
Then why bother giving the country a name? Just call it Crossroads #37, and the people living there just get numbers
I don‘t see examples of anti semitism etc.
It would be nice to see examples of right-extremist propaganda from Compact, so anyone can make a informed decision if the ban is righteous or not.
Damn Wiki already updated the article
Reason #4321 why I laff when Europeans claim to be free, no wrongthink text printed on paper now or it’s off to the Stasi gulag with you mein freund.
