  1. Ahh okay, so the rocket stamped “Made in USA” does broaden the conflict but as soon as it is “Made in UK” or “Made in France” then it is fine and the conflict remains ubroadened? Can’t Ukraine just “replace the stickers” then? /s

    They should think more about the “second and third-order effects” and “unintended consequences” of *not* allowing Ukraine to strike strategic military targets inside russia.

    Knowing for certain that these long range weapons can’t be used by Ukraine allows for them to knew exactly where, weapons,troops and vehicles are safe.
    How does it help in any way.

  13. I’m completely talking out of my ass here, but I’m hoping the Biden administration is delaying approval for strikes on Russia until after the election. He needs to win, so placating enough anti-war extremists enough to get their vote and win might be prudent.

  15. Yeah, I don’t understand the reasoning behind this. You’d think a children’s hospital being bombed would be the perfect time to allow the strikes that would take out the weapons that did that.

    I know they work with a lot more intel than I’m privy to, but really don’t understand this stance.

  16. I would suggest Ukraine develop their long ranged missiles. Ukraine has all the brain powers. Copying all the missiles given to them and quickly develop one that is called Ukraine’s! Reverse engineering! How long will that take? It’s better than waiting for “yes-no-maybe” indecisive folks !

    Get on with it. I am sure UKRAINE can!

  23. This continues to bother me. On the other hand, if American materials can be put to use for defensive purposes, that may allow Ukrainian or other/unrestricted materials to penetrate into Russia, so it’s not a complete loss (but is still frustrating).

    edit: I would point out that that Bridge is half in Ukraine and a perfectly legitimate target

  33. I think the White house is paralyzed at this point. They don’t want any development in Russia-Ukraine war and they succumbed to Russian threats that using US rockets in Russia is some kind of red line. No need to tell that it’s nonsense but Biden doesn’t care/not capable to understand that. Biden admin is mentally checked out already, they packing their bags before new owner moves in.

  34. Still reminds me of when Saudi Arabia went into  Yeman. Mind you the Saudis were using US tanks and numerous other weapon systems. Then Yeman blew up some Saudi oil storage facilities and lost their shit. So I’m curious why we allowed our weapons to be used to invade one country but not properly defend another.
