Judge Nolan again. Interesting how here he jails someone for a few years for what effectively was a public grope (not that I’m complaining that he did) but he lets countless others off for things that seem heavier. What’s the logic?
> Adel Kerai (26) had just arrived in the State five days before the incident, Dublin Circuit Criminal Court heard.
> Kerai was arrested at the scene and has been in custody ever since. He had no passport or official documents to show gardaí and initially gave a different name and date of birth. He has four previous convictions from the UK, where he was living for one year prior to coming to Dublin.
> Mr Spencer said Kerai intends to apply for asylum in this country and wishes to build a life for himself upon his release from custody.
Deport
Send him back to the UK
Needs to be sent back from whatever shithole he crawled out of.
ah yes.. yet another one of these cases… in the long list of same types previously.
How is someone seeking asylum from Algeria able to leave a safe country (UK) and hop over here to claim the same thing ? broken system
“The Absolute Fucking State Of Ireland”

Well, it is well known that certain sex of certain countries with certain religion and cultural values may find it somehow difficult to view the opposite sex in the West equally as fellow humans…

“Adel Kerai (26) had just arrived in the State five days before the incident” – Sigh… We need tighter immigration regulations. Not because scumbags are setting fire to things but because of attacks like this. That guy should never have gotten in to the country or at least held until the asylum application was approved/denied. No passport, no documents etc. We have no idea who were are letting in. Its a joke.
We should come to an agreement with Algeria to send him back to one of their jails. What a scumbag
And we all role our eyes when we hear “far right racists” say “unvetted men are let loose into our communities” .. as much as it kills me to say it.. here we are.
You are letting in scum and not realising what is coming down the line. Stop it
How many more Ashling Murphys until people realise what’s going on and vote accordingly.
Back to Algeria. Let him change his political beliefs. His safety should be of zero concern to our nation.
Unfortunately for us his persecution due to his political beliefs 🙄 is more important than the safety of Irish citizens.
I don’t want to seem as something of an apologist, but this chap is a world renowned engineer, not to mention also having made many innovative and novel inventions in the field of prostethics.
Patients that have lost limbs due to various ailments and accidents have benefited hugely from his work, indeed it has been life giving for them.
I think with some rehabilitative work he would be a real asset to our country.
God bless this mastermind. Everybody deserves a second chance, even me for having fabricated all of the above.
He has four previous convictions from the UK, where he was living for one year before coming here – FFS this is a joke.
Fuck em back up the border, up the ra
McEntee and O’Gorman can take some of the blame here.
Proper immigration controls and a guy with multiple convictions in the UK and no documentation should not have been allowed into Ireland.

Sorry in advance, but my initial thought went to Indian when I seen the title following around and sexual assault.
This scares the shit out of me, my daughter is meeting her boyfriend in town on Saturday, the thought of her being approached by a scumbag like this is frightening. These sexual assaults by those new to the village are increasing. How bad is this going to get?

When you read these stories you will often here terms like in this article
How he approached the woman was “bizarre”. For a person who grew up in Ireland it is plainly bizarre to sexually assault someone in the middle of the day with many people around …
To this lad, it wasn’t bizarre, he thought the lady wanted it. Didn’t seem concerned others would see …
We need to accept the hard reality that for people from some cultures and countries this behaviour isn’t bizarre, it’s actually common place. We do our own culture, country and women absolutely no favours be pretending that reality doesn’t exist!
“Yeah but what about all the Irish sex offenders”
It shouldn’t be possible to arrive into the country illegally without ID and with a very recent criminal history in the UK, and then commit a crime within days of arrival.
But it is.
And the preventative measures that could be taken involve us having to breach either the Refugee Convention and/ or the recast Reception Conditions Directive.
The refugee convention was drafted in another world and is unfit for purpose.
Reforming it now (and the free movement directive) would counter the growing discord across Europe around immigration.
Prison followed by a One way ticket to Algeria. I Really don’t care if his life is in danger in Algeria either. Fuck the prick.
I really need an explanation as to why this story entirely related to the literal heart of Dublin city centre is labelled as ‘Culchie Club Only’? What is that about?
>He set a headline sentence of four years and reduced it to 27 months, taking mitigating factors into account. He backdated it to last December when Kerai went into custody.
What ‘mitigating factors’? This pervert’s official history only goes back a year, to when he landed in the UK, and since then he’s managed to rack up 5 SA convictions between here and there.
> Kerai was arrested at the scene and has been in custody ever since. He had no passport or official documents to show gardaí and initially gave a different name and date of birth.
If you destroy your documents when you get here, you should be sent right back to wherever you departed from. If that can’t be established, they should be in immigration detention until the truth outs. If we don’t know who people are or if they’re safe to have here, we shouldn’t let them out onto our streets
> Mr Spencer said Kerai intends to apply for asylum in this country and wishes to build a life for himself upon his release from custody.

There are more potential asylum seekers in the world than we could ever take, I think we should be allowed to be choosey and help those who aren’t sex offenders. This man couldn’t even last a week in our society without committing an offence
