  1. That’s what I was screaming at the TV during the debate.

  2. Let’s just not include he also said POTUS, as well as SCOTUS. Only that he said VP.

Says in the body of the article, but not the headline.

  3. What a disgusting hit piece. USA Today should be ashamed of themselves.

  4. Because people don’t read the article…

    >Biden during his speech hit Trump for comments he made at the June 27 presidential debate, where he said that migrants were taking “Black jobs” and “Hispanic jobs” away from Americans.

    >
    >“Folks, I know what the hell a ‘Black job’ is — it’s the vice president of the United States,” he said to loud cheers, speaking about Vice President Kamala Harris. “I know what a ‘Black job’ is. The first Black president in American history, Barack Obama.”

    >
    >A chant of “four more years, four more years” broke out following his comments.
    >

    >Biden added that he also nominated the first Black woman to the Supreme Court, Ketanji Brown Jackson.
    >

    >“I promised myself, I promised America, that my administration would look like America,” he said.
    >

    >Biden during his remarks highlighted how unemployment rate for Black Americans is at its lowest, how his administration has invested $16 billion to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), and how he is going to cut taxes for working class Americans.

  5. Where was this clever snap back the day Trump said it though!?!

His team is really failing him.

  6. Good to see this here. I thought folks here would ignore this speech and bring up some other random crap against him…

welp it would seem slow tortoise Biden is finally making his move against Hare Trump. Let’s hope this continues.

  7. Maybe it’s because I watched it live and saw the context and the power behind it, but how anybody could view this quote in a negative light escapes me. Seems like there’d have to be a preexisting dislike of somebody to find fault in this.

  8. “They’re taking Black jobs now and it could be 18, it could be 19 and even 20 million people,” former President Donald Trump said in the debate Thursday about the role immigrants play in the U.S. economy. “They’re taking Black jobs, and they’re taking Hispanic jobs, and you haven’t seen it yet, but you’re going to see something that’s going to be the worst in our history.”

Trump at the first “debate” this year

  9. Didn’t Joe say “black childcare” in the same debate?

  10. Would have been a baller move to say that during the debate.

  11. He can’t think on his feet at the debate, but if you give his staff a full month, they’ll get there.

  12. And President. He literally said “President and vice president.” Total garbage-ass hit piece. Fascist garbage

  13. The article should have highlighted the part about the low black unemployment rate. The largest decline in black unemployment occurred under Obama/Biden. 2nd largest under Biden/Harris, and it reached a record low recently. And despite all the bluster, it dropped just 1.1% from jan. 2017 to jan. 2020, just before the pandemic.

  14. The thing is Joe is still very well credentialed and competent.

He’s struggling to communicate that competence.

His stiffness. His mouth agape. But when you see him in live action you can see the mind, the wisdom, the experience is all there.

I think he deserves way more respect but I’m not confident at all he’ll win not because of his capability but because of the nature of presidential elections and the irrationality of voters.

The best candidate does not win. The candidate with the most influence wins.

Hitler had a lot of influence. Trump had a lot of influence. Competence can help with influence.

    Influence is power.

  15. The only person on the planet who is living the Reddit Dem’s credo of “I will support whoever the nominee is” is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Because she’s actually supporting the current nominee without backhanded defeatest bullshit weasel words and attempts to convince every other Democratic voter that they, in fact, are the only person on the planet who would even consider voting for Biden, so why should they even bother? Just go with the independents and undecideds and start building your bunker now.

  16. Why cut the quote short? What kind of journalistic standards are being used here?

  17. This speech was a banger but the rnc being unhinged and full of crazies is usurping all the attention

  18. Yo. That’s pretty slick by ol’ sleepy joe. My guy still got some gas in the tank it seems.

  19. Huh it’s almost like news articles about Biden are being intentionally spun in a negative way!

  20. Joe Biden is awesome. What a great line from this speech.

  21. honestly I’d say Biden’s looked pretty good the last week
