  1. **Source**: [Here](https://europa.eu/eurobarometer/api/deliverable/download/file?deliverableId=76188)’s the full report by the European Commission.

This is kind of an experiment to see if the map is understood by other people than me. The colours show the most frequent item, the numbers and the shading the frequency with which this item was mentioned. I.e., 49,4% of people in Germany said “Peace among Member states”, and 29% of people in Romania said “Free movement”. The idea is to show that in most countries, the same items are most frequently mentioned, but to different degrees.

I’ve prepared a more conventional bar chart [here](https://1047eublog.files.wordpress.com/2022/02/eumostpositiveresultx.png?w=2048) that shows the distribution of all answers.

Because it is going to come up probably: It was not my choice to exclude the UK, but the one of Eurobarometer. The UK continues to participate in Eurobarometer surveys, but for reasons unknown to me they did not ask this question amon respondents there.

  2. It’s interesting how many in EE thinks the free movement is the most positive result of the EU. Is it because the EU hasn’t been as effective at maintaining peace in EE or is it because it allows people in poorer countries to move to richer countries? I’m guessing Spain and Portugal put free movement higher because of the increase in tourism?
