The RSPCA need a rebrand – people think they’re the ones that will act to protect the animal when you report animal abuse. This is not their job (the council wardens typically deal with this), they collect data and in the rare few cases there is enough evidence to open a case, they get the lawyers in on it. They also lobby parliament, and sell their logo to companies that comply with their charter.
10 year minimum prison sentence for animal cruelty.
Can we please license the ownership and have DNA profiles so we can find and fine the people who think it’s acceptable to abandon them, let them shit everywhere without picking it up, or throw dog shit bags in the bushes. Whilst we’re at it regulate the fuck out of breeding to the extent they’re all spayed or neutered unless licensed for breeding
