Ukraine ‘should be winning this war’ | Americans at the Republican National Convention

what we really need to do is just figure out who the bigger villain is here um who’s the big villain here no comment just talking to people around here it’s an almost spiritual experience and so many people believe that Donald Trump was saved by by God himself from that Assassin’s bullet that it’s Destiny is that your view sir yeah definitely I agree I I think uh God’s Dome of protection is definitely over him um we’re a Christian and we definitely believe in that um and I think that you know the evil forces no matter how hard they try um they’re going to fail because uh go uh God has a purpose for Trump and I think he’s going to achieve it and he’s going to he’s going to protect him until um that purpose is complete you believe that Trump is Guided by God doing God’s work absolutely I you know he he and I think that this event that took place it’s sort of a marking and I think it’s solidified for many people even in a Christian Community Evangelical community that we’re doubting um it’s solidified for them that you know what he he’s probably is the one that got chose cuz otherwise why would he be spared in the way that he was we think he’s the best president that ever lived that’s quite a big statement Abraham Lincoln George Washington I think he’s amazing I I think he was sent by God I think he’s the most amazing human being ever and he truly truly is a patriot I mean I mean he’s given up his perfect life he gave up so much to be president that he didn’t have to he lost money he’s the only president that lost money going into office unlike these cheaters that always make money because they cheat and he’s given so much A lot of people telling me they really as far as they they’re concerned they believe that Donald Trump was saved from that Bullet by God himself and that he’s doing God’s work it is as simple as that do you believe that well I believe that Divine Providence was involved because the shooter was obviously trying to take him out it was a clear head shot and when he turned it just grazed him and so I do think there was a bit of Divine Providence involved do you think Donald Trump is serving God’s will yes absolutely he’s um been for the people since he came in he didn’t take a salary uh he’s given up so much to be our president just because he didn’t like the way everything was going uh I’ve been following him for years long before he was president and I I just I I get so saddened by all the uh rhetoric and the attacks on him all the time uh it’s really frustrating and that’s not including obviously the assassination attempt with from a British and European perspective so I hear the argument that Donald Trump is doing the right thing with God at his back and then I see some worries at home in in Britain and in Europe that if there’s a trump Vance White House they’re going to withdraw from NATO the old Alliance which is to which America is so important and maybe leave and leave Ukraine to its vulnerable to Putin you say that’s not true that’s not true that’s not true I mean Vance has not been for that in the in the Senate I mean we’re solidly part of NATO we want to be a part of NATO they should have made Ukraine part of NATO when they saw the troops um lining up on the border they should have immediately Drew Ukraine into NATO and then it would have been okay now come across the border and it’s all of us against you you would think that we’re against NATO we’re not against NATO but we pretty much rule over most of the countries because we give them their support our military is stronger than pretty much all of NATO put together and so we’re doing the heavy lifting they expect us to be there when When Things Fall Apart um I don’t see other countries contributing to our defense but if you are looking looking at it from Ukrainian eyes or from European eyes you may think pulling away from NATO or or drawing a line and giving Putin what he wants that does not seem to them like God’s word that would seem to them to be like doing the very wrong thing what would you say to that I would say that sometimes when you’re in the middle of a death and destruction it affects your your judgment it affects the clarity of the situation there are a lot of emotions attached and you cannot see certain things clearly and um I have family in Ukraine I have a a nephew in Ukraine and I think it is pretty safe to say that this been happening for long enough we could see that there are more ukrainians is dying and I more be before anything else I want the death to stop because it’s not going anywhere so the minimum that I think that Trump can do by negotiating is pausing this until there is a different so in a nutshell you think Donald Trump can see what needs to be done in Ukraine more clearly than people in Ukraine can themselves in a in a nutsh not necessarily what needs to be done in Ukraine uh Donald Trump is very much American based so he’s going to he’s going to speak for America first okay this is how I see it okay I think that zalinski is a little crooked because I think the people are suffering in Ukraine don’t get me wrong my family is Hungarian and I feel bad for the people of Ukraine but I think the government somehow is corrupt there how does his wife solinsky’s wife just buy a brand new $12 million bugat body they have a multi-million dollar home in Florida they have Yachts they have everything but their people are struggling and suffering and starving their children are starving why is that why wouldn’t a good president because president Trump would be putting the money back into the country which he did he gave up his salary and he had many of his cabinet members give up their salaries to be put back into the country but I don’t see zalinsky and the head honchos over there doing that but I do know that Ukraine also bought massive property here in the United States a Cobalt mine and they’re try to take water away from the farmers to shut down water from the farmers but because they want to take all that water and give it to the Cobalt MK because it takes a lot of money to process cobal which the money is going to go to Ukraine so it’s corrupt okay there’s a lot of uh money going over there without any accountability so um being that actually um coming from a person that actually was born in Ukraine I was born in Ukraine and and uh immigrated here to the US when I was two so I I am a US citizen now and I I this is my home country but I do have family back in Ukraine and it’s very sad for me to see what’s happening to my birth country and the sacrificial Pond that the Ukrainian uh land is on the world board game and what we really need to do is just figure out who the bigger villain is here um who’s the big villain here no comment we we’ve given a lot of money to Ukraine they should be winning this war and shouldn’t other you know NATO countries also help and other NATO countries are putting in a huge amount rely just 100% on America well to be fair it’s not 100% on America it’s on many many allies of Ukraine and I think you have to remember some of what Donald Trump says are NE negotiating tactics he’s just throwing stuff out there right yeah so you can’t you can’t go by everything he said I mean you know he’s the art of the deal you think it’s all part of a a negotiating Ploy yeah yeah okay well I guess we’ll see and it’s one that was successful when he was in office before he led strength with power and our allies maybe don’t want that but that’s what’s best for America and we expect that when he is back in office yeah in the end for you it’s about what’s best for America basically absolutely America First America First America First every country wants to to be you know the primary you know thing but we’ll also take help the rest of the world as we can but we have to take care of ourselves first just like a family I think that was a big assumption to say that the only way to resolve that conflict is for Ukraine to give up their land uh Trump has vowed to resolve that conflict immediately like first priority even before he takes office January 2nd as the president-elect he’s allowed to go and then reach to his counterparts and say we want to end to all the killing and we have a lot of measures that we can use that are economic in most ways to say enough is enough you go back to where you had Ukraine you go back to what you had the fighting’s going to be over before the US has last last word for me that is exactly what Vladimir Putin wants to hear though I do suggest that to you you think that Putin wants to hear that we want the war to be over of course I would think everybody doesn’t want the war to be over you don’t want those people being killed the the poor people are being killed because I also see other people being partying in the streets the elite in Ukraine right they go to nightclubs they they can do that the elite there so that’s not right some people are really well you know to do the other people are struggling some would say Vladimir Putin is the big villain here you’re Ukrainian Bor some of your people in Ukraine would say talking this way would be letting them down almost a betrayal of your your the old country yes um but you know just just mixing in NATO the US and and and and Putin um I think there’s a lot of dots to be connected there um not you know not just who’s the better negotiator and and who’s the uh dictator you know yeah in the end you trust Donald Trump and that’s pretty much it I do trust Donald Trump because let me tell you Putin is who he is but he’s not a dictator that they paint him he’s more of an opportunist in my opinion Putin’s not a dictator he’s an opportunist so he you know dictators are people it’s it’s the mindset his mindset is an opportunist and I will take an opportunity of a dictatorship when it’s presented to me and that is why when he sees a good deal he’ll take it when he sees a bad deal he’ll go away he he saw um I do uh hold Biden’s Administration responsible to a certain degree for the invasion of Ukraine and and even n to a certain uh degree so there is that and Putin is just an opportunist that chose to act upon it and he’s definitely a bad guy but let’s look at a whole picture here it’s about offering Vladimir Putin a deal that he can’t refuse pretty much because we are not interested in World War I lovely to talk to you thank you so much
