Battles of the Lyut Brigade: Ukrainian cops defending Toretsk and Vovchasnk against Russia
Ukrainian cops showed how they are helping hold the frontlines against Russia in the cities of Toretsk and Vovchansk. The Lyut Brigade, which means ‘Fury’, filmed themselves defending their trenches near Toretsk, located in the Donbas. A commander and his unit unload volleys of bullets at Russian soldiers trying to advance on their positions. They have dung a trench into a tree-line for cover, and use rifles and heavy machine guns to halt the attack. The video was taken by the Safari Regiment, one of 10 regiments which make up the brigade. More footage, taken by the Luhansk Regiment, shows fighting inside the city of Toretsk itself. A fighter can be seen defending a position inside a high-rise apartment with a grenade launcher. As the Russians attack he fires out of the window at them, then runs down the stairs to reload. Amid the sounds of heavy gunfire he keeps up his attacks, helping his squamates repel the attack. There is a brief pause in the fighting, before yet more attacks force him to defend another position with yet more grenades. Lyut is also fighting in Vovchansk, located just to the north of the city of Kharkiv. A short clip shows fighters crossing a river through the city and taking up positions inside a school – believed to be in the northern part contested by Russia. The brigade has also been involved in some tough fighting, including assault missions to capture the city of Klishchiivka – near Bakhmut – during Ukraine’s offensive last year. Video taken during that assault shows two different fighters attacking the same small village, trying to displace units of Russians hidden among the buildings. Lyut was created in 2023 from the remnants of three Special Purpose brigades that had been fighting Russia in the Donbas since 2014. The brigade is mostly made up of serving cops who have been diverted into the armed forces as the cities they policed were attacked by Russia. But it also recruits officers who are keen to join the armed forces, along with regular volunteers. #russia #ukraine #war

You Tube's logic in deleting comments is downright amusing, write a comment in English it will be deleted or hidden, write the same comment in Russian and it will be published just as quickly without problems, tells enough about the logic of the platform
Matiin semua Rusia jangan kasih ampun
