A major milestone: Global climate pollution may have just peaked

1. Except for covid, every year emissions have been higher than the pervious one.
   (agreed, the increase is slowing down).

   Looking at actual [CO2 concentration](https://gml.noaa.gov/ccgg/trends/gr.html) rather than emissions estimates, 2023 was the largest increase on record.

   Best conclusion we can draw is that we’ve reached a plateau. We’ll be able to call it a peak only on the way down.
