Why Bernie Sanders Is Thanking Elon Musk |
The Vermont senator said Musk has done “an exceptional job of demonstrating a point that we have made for years—and that is the fact we live in an oligarchic society.”

  1. I think it also proves it easier to launder Russian funds thru individuals than the NRA.

  2. American Oligarchs are out in the open with their insatiable greed.

  3. Bernie remains sharp and that includes his sense of humor!

  4. Republicans…the party of corporate greed and control. Republicans and corporations will tell you what you need and you’ll never have to decide for yourself again.

  5. It’s so sketchy how a billionaire can just outright buy a large portion of the virtual public square and then run it to suit his ideological leanings.

  6. >multiple billionaires donate to Democratic party

“This is fine, nothing wrong here.”

    >billionaire donates to Republicans

“Woah, hold up. This is wrong. Oligarchy to the max.”

  7. It’s the flaunting that’s so unseemly. Citizens United certainly made things worse, but it was really the passage of the 1947 Taft–Hartley Act that criminalized all the actual levers labor unions can use to leverage the numerical advantage of the working class which enabled the post-WWII oligarchy. It’s ultimately what killed the New Deal coalition that included blue collar workers in the Democratic Party and allowed us to create government programs like social security

  8. He’s Right!

My dad wasn’t exploiting South Africans for diamonds. But Musk’s was. My mom wasn’t a model. But Musk’s mom was. I’m not born South African. Musk was. I’m not a Canadian (Love ya though!). Musk is. I don’t artificially inseminate women that sign contracts. Musk does.

Sounds more like this guy needs to be sent to Mars, post haste. Politicians are for Sale! But you need $45 million to get in the “club”.

  9. And Biden’s embrace of billionaires means there’s very little difference between the two parties. With one they pay no taxes, with another they pay a little in taxes, but in both scenarios they have an inordinate amount of control over our political system, which is precisely why the billionaire class needs to be abolished. The greatest threat to democracy is the current republican party, but a very close second is inequality, and democrats have no real plan to address it.

  10. The oligarchy has been taking over America for 40 years. The most successful advances have some slowly and quietly, by smart yet morally bankrupt men and woman, behind the scenes.

Fortunately for us, in Elon, we don’t have one the smart ones, we have a pitch man masquerading as an engineer and a business man. he makes it easy to see this Tom Fuckery. but beware the ones you don’t see, they are much more dangerous than this clown.

  11. Elon has now come out against EV subsidies. Without those car manufacturers will raise prices for gas cars because they will be more competitive against EVs. Inflation will increase and more people will buy gas cars even as the prices go up.

Elon is quite possibly the worst CEO in the world and also pure evil

  12. Sanders was supposed to be President and the DNC crushed the dream because they’d rather lose to Trump than give the reigns to a progressive.

  13. Corruption against the law and enforced

Corruption against the law and unenforced

    Corruption legal  <—we are here

    Legally privileged class

    Laws against lower class.

Culture of unregulated enforcement by authorities against lower class.

  14. It’s interesting that many non-wealthy Trump supporters believed, and continue to believe, that Trump’s alleged personal wealth would somehow free him from wealthy donors and allow him to “drain the swamp.”

Yet, they remain ignorant of the fact that when Trump was president he appointed several billionaires to high-level positions and pursued billionaire-friendly policies, such as cutting corporate income tax.

Now, he’s promising billionaires even more quid pro quo.

    Trump *is* the swamp.

  15. Bernie and his friends should have passed laws to prevent that when they had the chance to do so.

  16. Well… other billionaires have been donating to the democratic party too. If there is a point to be made it has been made a very long time ago.

  17. US aint a democracy. Elons voice is equal to at least 10 million voices in the US.

  18. Except Musk said it was fake news and did not show up on the PACs donor report…

  19. With the GOPin charge that oligarchic system will become cemented in place. The folks that delude themselves into believing that Trump is their savior will be holding the bag.

  20. This is a more sophisticated way of saying Elon Musk is a good bad example

  21. But there are many oligarchs supporting dem causes, Soros? Gates?

  22. Big money donors from hollywood to Deomocrats: Good.

    Elon donating to Trump: Bad.

  23. I wish the Democrats were more like Bernie. Would really make politics a lot more simple.

  24. Literally anyone still using twitter today is part of the problem.

  25. Elon Musk is funding 25 million bucks a month into Trump’s campaign.

    Biden won’t have that.

So it’s necessary for the people to make up the difference, and take matters into our own hands to help Biden’s campaign.

  26. Bernie Sanders was THE hope for the USA. Wish he could have been president.

  27. Has that one billionaire (the 50b worth or w/e one..) who ran in 2020 dem primaries donated to Biden at all? I’m guessin not but wondering

  28. I am sure Bernie would have made the same remarks if Elon Musk donated the same money to the DNC or a Biden PAC

  29. Which Bernie himself is a part of, the never ending politician class.
