Average Portuguese vs Spanish road experience

  1. Going to Portugal from Spain iis like entering in Angola. Probably Angola has better infrastructures.

  2. Our roads are better though. Still between our way too expensive highways and 18th century railway service to most of the country (none) and barely 1890s in the areas that have it… I find it hard to fight back.

  3. And you pick up as an example the least Spanish motorway landscape… 🤣

Many Spanish motorways, if not most of them, are like those in Red Dead Redemption 2, but well asphalted, and some are not even that… And they have multiple suicide potholes and aquaplaning accumulation zones.

  4. video too short, cut out the part where the car explodes

  5. Going through AP-1 and A-66.

They are free but man… potholes every 500m

  6. Then you have Italian toll highways.

I mean, the infrastructure is not that bad, the catch is that you have to drive among Italians.

  7. A motorcycle instead of horse and we living the dream hermanos

  8. the sweet EU infrastructure money needs to be spent somehow

  9. While it’s true Spain has free highways and I wish we had them too and while it’s true Portugal is a piece of shit in many things I just can’t agree with the picture on the left.

Portuguese high ways are freaking amazing (they should ofc, considering the money we spend on them) and way better than Spain(obviously we don’t have the best roads on the border for Spaniards wanting to enter/invade us 😉)

I’ve never saw highways like ours throughout Europe (maybe Switzerland only).
But again, I would rather not pay and have slightly less good highways. They are just highways.

  10. I drove all the way from Lisbon to Barcelona. Both have decent roads, but Portugal is better. More lanes, good asphalt and better taken care of in general.

  11. Free highway… Lol, come and move around a bit here, you’ll enjoy plenty of tolls, kek

  12. The funniest thing is that I recognized this road immediately, and not because I could read the signs.
