A new video shows Russian forces dropping a 3000-kilogram glide bomb over Ukraine. Geolocating the video shows it was released over Russian-occupied eastern Ukraine nearly 40 kilometers from the front line.

2. Seems close enough to the front that either patriots (in enough supply) or f16 with the swedish awacs should be able to target and destroy these high flying guide bomb drops

3. Btw, there is no proof FAB-3000 glide bombs exist. Only 1500 variant.

4. Is there a reason that Ukraine can’t drop massive glide bombs?

5. If the F16s Ukraine is getting are capable of firing AIM-120 missiles, this kind of threat could be neutralized from a safe distance. But will likely need the Saab 340 AEW&C, Swedish airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) that has been pledged by Sweden, in order to get advanced notice and good radar lock on the Russian launching planes.
