  18. I’m an ER nurse in the south and let me tell you, I see COVID positive test results every damn shift. It has exploded over the past month or two. We just intubated a patient who had it the other day, it can exacerbate COPD and CHF. As a nurse who worked through COVID, I’m not excited. It generally doesn’t seem as severe as before, but it’s still not giving good vibes. I wish Biden well and hope he recovers, it’s rough for elderly patients.

  19. Covid is still a pretty serious illness and even vaccinated it can still kick your ass. And whether it’s the first time getting it or your 4th, it can still result in long Covid.

    Of course, being President will mean he has access to the best healthcare that exists.

    He was trailing in the polls to Clinton, so Bush pushed himself harder, and despite feeling ill, he didn’t cancel a state dinner in his honor despite feeling ill. And he threw up on the Japanese Prime Minister.

  31. This is a good reminder that COVID has not gone anywhere. It’s still very much around all over the world. My mother is a hospice nurse and they get COVID outbreaks all the time. It’s certainly not comparable to the peaks we had in early 2022, but it’s still a problem.

  32. Lets just imagine for a quick second what the fuck would happen if Trump had been assassinated and Biden died from covid. You know republicans would be pulling so many archaic rules out of their asses and democrats would probably roll over and barely put up a fight. I just know that it’s not a ride I would like to be on.

  40. I’m calling it now, Biden is going to step down because COVID will be the ‘reason’ cognitive decline happens. The DNC will put Harris in the next couple of months to see how she polls. Then they’ll figure out who the next presidential candidate is.

    EDIT: I’m voting for whomever the Democratic candidate is. Just seems like something the DNC would do to me.
