  1. Leaked documents from the 109th Independent Rifle Regiment (Unit 34494) show 194 Russian soldiers missing in action. This figure does not included soldiers confirmed as killed in action or wounded in action.

If 10% of the regiment are already missing, it’s perfectly conceivable the regiment has lost at least 50% of its strength. Other outcomes are theoretically possible (e.g. the bulk of the regiment retreating in good order after a company has been cut off / destroyed), but highly unlikely.

  2. Red mist, dog/cat food or just pushing up sunflowers. No onions for you.

  3. I’m really surprised Russia bothers to keep track of MIAs.

  4. So many 40, 50 even 60 year old guys in that list.

    Go fucking home.

  5. Text translation:

Here is a list of missing servicemen from the 109th separate rifle regiment of the 8th combined arms army of the Russian Armed Forces (military unit 34494, Gorlovka). The 109th Regiment was formed immediately before 02/24/2022, during the mobilization of the local population. At the end of 2022, due to the losses suffered, the regiment’s personnel began to be replenished with citizens of the Russian Federation, including former prisoners. At the moment, the regiment’s forces are taking part in assault operations in the areas of the settlement. New York and Toretsk. Due to active hostilities, the unit suffers abnormally high losses in manpower. Above is a list of 194 servicemen from the regiment who went missing during the three weeks of assault operations. The list does not include 200 and 300, the number of which is also abnormally large.

  6. Think I saw some 1967 birthdates on that list.

If this is the MIA just imagine the wounded and dead. Just from one regiment.

I just donated $200 USD a few days ago to a Ukraine Brigade needing drones fighting at Toretsk. Makes me very happy to see the results of their work.
