  9. Something that I’ve noticed that gives me some confidence is that Biden’s requirements for dropping out are decreasing.

    I guess it could be argued whether the requirements are higher for the 2nd and 3rd.

    Additionally, leaks from top Democrats advising Biden that he has no path forward (the requirements he set at the NATO press conference) and leaks that he’s now more receptive to hearing it/asking questions about whether his replacement can win.

  11. I honestly do want to see Biden step aside. Most of the attacks from the right have related to Biden’s age, a change would force them to suddenly change tactics and lose their old message.

  12. It’s tough to make much of these conversations without knowing exactly what was said. I mean he’s naturally going to defend himself. He’s not going to say, “Ok, if you say so, Nancy, then it must be so!” As the article says, it’s not known when this talk took place, and it’s been a long week.

    It’s entirely possible for him to listen to Pelosi, make his case back to her, but still open to the possibility of a replacement. Like, imagine if he had said in this talk that he was open to dropping out. The leak, and there have been a lot of leaks lately, would’ve instead reported on that, and Biden would have his hands tied. I’m sure he recognizes the need to not give a hint of doubt to even Pelosi or it’s all over.

  15. Polls aren’t right all the time but when you see a variance in recently consistent trends, that means something. Biden has been consistently been polling lower than any Democratic nominee in decades and it’s against Trump. They were expecting people to write off Trump for obvious reasons, but they aren’t.

  16. First rumors of Schiff turning against Biden, followed by him coming out publicly in favor of Biden’s withdrawal. Now news that Schumer and Pelosi have told Biden to go. This is all orchestrated. I’m just stumped why it has taken so long.

  19. Pelosi’s the only person who can claim ELDER statesman over Biden. And she also is actually the only other person that can claim more political accomplishments compared to him. He has to bow out. Obama will be the final straw if it gets out that he joins in on the get-out campaign.

  20. If this many people are suddenly turning on Biden, that tells me that their internal polling is painting a VERY dire picture, possibly even worse than what we’re privy to as the public. Based on the down-ballot races, Dems have been doing extremely well since 2016.

    The average people, minus the MAGA crazies, seem to be pretty fine with Democrats, even seeing them preferable to Republicans. They just don’t like BIDEN. Or more specifically, they don’t like his age.

    Biden campaign will likely utilize much of their cash on hand or convert it to SuperPAC money. Following the RNC convention and locking Trump in, now would be the PERFECT time to undermine the GOP’s entire playbook for this campaign and all the ads they’ve amassed.

    According to an embedded reporter with the Trump campaign, their entire campaign is not remotely capable of readjusting to a more competitive candidate. It’s strictly designed for Biden and basically collapses without him.
