I work in an industry that supplies defense companies and, yes, from time to time we have inquiries for expensive, export controlled equipment from random businesses. We even had a “know your customer” training to understand the significance of verifying who is buying the equipment.
IMO, whoever sold it to him should be just as in trouble as he is. It’s actually quite easy to spot shady customers.
Should be sent to Kyiv as part of his deportation.
I’m sure the military have good use for such people.
