  1. How dare you dismantle my beloved Hertfordshire!

As someone who was brought up in the south of the County and has subsequently lived in the west, north and east of it, I very much disagree with this map. Proximity does not necessarily mean similarity – the likes of Chorleywood, Rickmansworth, Sarratt etc feel a world away from London. They feel much more in common with Hertford, Berkhamsted, Hitchin.

I’m sure quite a few people from northern Surrey, south west Essex etc would think similarly about their areas!

  2. Thames Valley is a silly name for that region. It is far too disparate to take a name like that, and considering the fact the Thames only flows through the bottom left three counties, and the other counties have more important river valleys (and essentially nothing to do with the Thames) makes it not really suitable.

  3. Could you be a little bit more specific about the coastal border between Wessex and South Coast. Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch I’m assuming, are all in Wessex? Historically speaking, that is probably the case yet I find it hard to believe the Bournemouth would ever be considered not the south coast

Not for nothing mate, but when you say South Coast, you appear to be including Croydon.
The south coast area shouldn’t really be more than 10 miles away from water,no?

  4. Feel Cumberland is getting both overly promoted and skanked here.

Overly promoted because it somehow gets afforded the same status as like wessex and london.

And skanked because it will be by far the least populous region and therefore get totally neglected/overlooked.

Advise combine with Cornwall into Cumberwall/ Cornberland.

  5. East Anglia is the eastern kingdom for the angles. Therefore how can any east Saxon filth from Essex be included?

Correct your map immediately and remove the Essex portion from East Anglia you saxon shill.

Apart from that great map 🙂
