Cue up the so-called “environmentalists” who love their bacon and burgers too much to actually care.
No industry is going to fall on the sword first. None of these giant machines will budge unless forced and unfortunately they have the resources to push governments where activists and science have little leverage thru traditional means.
It’s really hard to see an off ramp from the current infrastructure and guiding out all the people who rely on this stuff to survive financially (not referring to the top brass just the everyday masses that they employ)
Cheaper better alternatives must be allowed to thrive and get a foothold and more efficient systems must be made to curb the current habits and trends.
In fact, it’s quite simple: every human activity contributes to climate change. If we start attacking all economic activities based on their environmental impact, what are the chances of gaining any support?
