Lived here for a while in the early 90s. Great views, could be a bit dodgy in the immediate area including the pub across the road. All changed now though I guess. Loved the fact that I could see my ‘home’ from large areas of west London.
Brutalist architecture is like marmite I’ve found! I love it, but so so many people hate it! National theatre is one of my favourites, looks futuristic yet very brutalist.
I was hoping, praying, that this is what this would be when opening the post. I wonder about this building every time I take the Heathrow express.
Can someone please explain to me why there is what looks to be a prison connected to a Soviet apartment building? With passageways? Are those the residents and inmates who have been permitted conjugal visits??
