With the official announcement now behind us, what are your expectations for Thiago Motta’s inaugural season with Juventus?

  1. The bar is quite low, it’s enough if the games aren’t a snooze fest for me.

  2. Fighting for Scudetto until April, that’s my minimum expectation

Coppa Italia we have a serious chance to go to the final once again, so that’s where I set the bar: reaching the final. Same goes for Italian Supercup

CL and CWC zero clue because I still have to figure out how they work 😂

  3. I used to watch juve replays to help me sleep, I just want exciting matches

  4. I think we should give him time and not exaggerate expectations. He’s still new at Juventus and we should be patient

  5. A deep Scudetto run at least

**and** a deep (till semis) UCL run

  6. It’s going to be basically a new team with all these new signings, I’m honestly not expecting much he’ll need time to build this results won’t be immediate

  7. Bologna was in 13th when he took over. His 2 seasons at Bologna yielded

    2022/23 – 9th place 54pts
    2023/24 – 5th place 68pts

Obviously he is coming in to a much stronger club and expectations will be higher, but we must be patient and give him time to implement his philosophy.

I think the expectation is top 4 and a decent run in the CL with the main concerns being

Does he create a positive environment that keeps players happy?

Is his football progressive and are there signs that this project is going somewhere?

I think as long as he checks those two boxes and the results are not laughably bad (getting knocked out to weaker teams in CL or failing to stay around a top 4 position) then we are in good shape. The long term goal is to again compete for the league and the CL, but it will take time and we shouldn’t expect to immediately be challenging for those titles IMO

  8. He’s going to need time. If anyone is expecting the scudetto in the first season then it’s better you start complaining now before we all have to hear it during the season. Top 4 is the expectation.

  9. Serie A: Arithmetically reach Champions League 3-4 matches before end of the season will be great.

Champions: would be fun this year, target would be finish at worst 24th place to reach the playoffs.

    Coppa Italia: At least semifinals

Mondiale per club: no idea how it works, no expectations

The team is renewed, the coach is new, youngers will grow.
I don’t think we should expect much more this year. I expect 2026 will be the year when we will really fight for the scudetto until the end.

  10. He started a little slow at Bologna – will take some time for his system to be adopted. We should be patient.

  11. I just wanna see my team play fun football. I dont wanna feel sick after a 1-1

  12. Top 4 Serie A, fighting for scudetto

    SuperCoppa

exit league stage in CL (idk how tf this works)

    CWC doesnt matter

    Not lose against farmers clubs

    Coppa Italia- Finals

  13. T3 and a good run in UCL – as long as we are playing in a competitive way and show grinta it is enough for me

  14. Top 4 and overall some progress on the pitch towards his vision. We should look better at the end of the season then how we started

  15. Everything is new, including the players (main difference from Sarri and Pirlo post-Allegri).

So I can’t really predict anything, but minimum imo is being a serious scudetto contender (not like last year), coppa italia final, and at least make it out of the group in CL

  16. With the amount of trophies that can be won, at least one of those and then challenge for two others. I’d like to see a good run in the UCL.

  17. Good changes, changes we needed and more attractive football. Of course a top 4 finish is a must but we have to remember the amount of tournaments the team is in. In the future I hope he can break our champions league curse and do a treble season. Forza Juve!

  18. It is a project. It needs time. That is why he has a 3 year deal. Patience will be important. Hopefully we start to see the shape of his vision in the second half of the season as players begin to adapt to his style
