Did anyone actually expect Trump to change, really? Any perception of turning soft won’t play well with whatever base he has left.
Trump reverted to well-worn falsehoods about his 2020 election defeat, claiming that the Democratic Party “used Covid to cheat.”
Really recommend to everyone I talk to about him the “Dirty Money” episode about him on Netflix. Pretty sure it’s literally called “Confidence Man”. His best con is appearing to people as anything other than a con, when it’s literally all he does.

The fact that someone took a shot at him only validates himself in his own mind. He’d want to watch he doesn’t go blind basking in his own glory.
He’s also a credibly accused child rapist and held liable for sexual assault in a civil court of law. He admitted himself to sexually assaulting women and accused of attempted rape multiple times in the past decades. A life long con man who committed treasonous acts, engaged in election tampering, is a convicted felon, and a serial adulterer. He knows very little to nothing about politics, American history, government, the constitution, or the laws governing this country. He is a pathological liar and violent criminal.
It’s not going to change until the religious leaders in churches disavow him. They preach and pray that he wins in their sermons. It’s like going back to pre-enlightenment age where the preachers say “God wills it” when they hoodwink the peasants to do theirs, or the King’s (Trump), bidding.
Incredible how he said we need to be less divisive, got cheers from the crowd, and then went on to blame democrats for anything he could think of.
As usual, Trump’s only platform is hatred towards the opposition. We didn’t hear one single idea over the span of 3 hours. This is the same type of speech we normally get, but with less pizazz.
Trump will use the shooting as a pretext to become more extreme. He’s going to get much worse.
My wife was in a terrible car accident a few years ago (she’s fine, but it was scary/near catastrophic). In the hospital she told me “I’m gonna let go of all the petty shit.” Within a week she was on me about not nesting the measuring cups.
Point is people can honestly believe they’ll change and then not change at all.

People should really look into the immigration program from 1954 he was glazing in his speech, promising to bring it back. Its namesake is now a slur and involves deporting legal workers and naturalized citizens en masse. One of the biggest stains on US history.
That glowing endorsement from UAW makes the support from the Teamsters a little more curious considering the Teamsters checkered past with corruption.

I listened to a large chunk of his RNC speech and after briefly talking about unifying, he just went back into the same shit as always. He even claimed that Democrats “used COVID to cheat” in the last election. Also how can anyone listen to his speeches and think he’s a good candidate??!! He just talks in circles and makes random, often vague claims over and over. There’s like no substance at all to his speeches.
That speech was great reminder to the people who didn’t like trump in 2020 as to why they didn’t like trump.
